About
Savannah Rutty
Fashion Designer & Technical Developer for Elevated Women's Ready-to-Wear

After founding and operating my fashion brand for seven years, I now help fashion designers and brands bring their collections to life through comprehensive design development.

Specializing in women's ready-to-wear, I take your vision from initial concept research—defining your customer and brand values—through mood and trend boards, silhouette and color development, collection merchandising, and professional technical flats. My process culminates in detailed tech pack documentation ensuring your designs translate seamlessly from concept to manufacturing partner.

With both creative vision and technical precision, I bridge the gap between inspiration and production-ready collections. These services are available as comprehensive packages or individually à la carte to meet your specific needs.

I believe fashion

should tell a story,

feel personal,

&

be treasured for

years to come.

From 2017 to 2024, I founded and operated Love Homage, a women's ready-to-wear
slow-fashion brand that transformed fine art into wearable pieces. Built on the belief that clothing should feel personal and meaningful, every garment told a story through
hand-painted textiles, custom embroidery, and intricate beadwork on classic silhouettes.

For almost a decade I managed every aspect of the brand—from creative direction and couture construction techniques to innovative processes like VR design and 3D modeling for signature accessories. Each
one-of-a-kind piece was created for collectors who valued exceptional craftsmanship. Beyond design, I built the complete brand experience through photography, marketing, and cultivating lasting customer relationships.

Love Homage earned recognition through industry awards and grants, with pieces carried by select retailers.

This hands-on experience taught me how to create collections that customers truly treasure.

Now through Savannah Rutty Design, I help other brands achieve that same meaningful connection with their customers. Whether you're starting with a simple sketch and need to develop your entire design process, or you're an established brand seeking design support for your next collection,
let's transform your dream concepts into complete collections that resonate.
It's easy to get started.

Fall/Winter 2023
This collection is called 'Peace' and serves as an homage to my grandmother, who raised me and taught me to sew, and to my childhood in the Idaho countryside. The pieces explore themes of memory and legacy through deeply personal textile development.

The collection features custom quilted textiles created from scanned family photographs printed on cotton and cut into squares. I spent over 100 hours hand-weaving fabric to macramé a pair of shorts and bolero jacket. The line includes two full gowns alongside separates, each incorporating hand-painted details and selective hand-beaded elements.

Every piece in this collection carries the weight of personal history—transforming archived family moments into wearable memorials that celebrate both craft tradition and the landscapes that shaped my early life.
Spring/Summer 2021
This collection was born from a desire to explore color and craftsmanship during a period of personal reflection. The season marked the debut of original handbag hardware, developed through clay modeling, 3D printing, and resin casting techniques.

The collection features hand-marbled textiles alongside digitally printed fabrics showcasing my original paintings. I focused extensively on hand-painting fabrics to create beautiful one-of-a-kind textiles, with select pieces incorporating hand-beaded details. The tailoring emphasizes precise fit—particularly in the structured trousers and statement dresses. The handbags showcase the new proprietary hardware, while tops and tunics balance fluid silhouettes with experimental textile and surface design and meticulous construction.
Spring/Summer 2018
My debut collection launched in Spring 2018, featuring meticulously crafted dresses, skirts, and tops in luxurious silk crepe de chine and stretch cotton poplin. Each piece showcases hand-painted textiles, with botanical motifs inspired by wildflower meadows and serene garden landscapes. This collection was captured through an intimate photography collaboration in Boise's historic North End district.
Costume Design
I served as costume designer for Ballet Idaho's premier production inspired by Fleetwood Mac, creating original designs for 20 principal dancers and the corps de ballet. This ambitious production featured 12 of the band's most celebrated songs and achieved three consecutive sold-out performances.

My comprehensive role included developing initial design concepts, leading costume parades and production meetings alongside the head of costume design and ballet director, and maintaining close collaboration with the choreographer throughout the creative process. I collaborated with the costume department develop patterns and construct the entire collection, ensuring each piece captured both the iconic aesthetic of Fleetwood Mac and the technical demands of professional ballet performance.
